Fuel tank filters to remove water from fuel
With the increasing bio content in diesel fuel, the presence of water is becoming more and more of an issue. The sludge and bacteria that harbours in the fuel as a result of the water can have damaging impacts on the vehicle being refuelled. Consequently, a fuel tank filter should be fitted onto the fuel dispenser to remove the water. Our water filter offering includes different micron rated models as well as replacement elements for when your filter is full. Piusi, Cim-Tek, Goldenrod and Donaldson fuel storage tank filters are available in our fuel storage tank filter range.

FAQs
This depends on the condition of your fuel. The dirtier the fuel in your tank, the quicker the particle filter will get full. Having spare particle filter elements on site will reduce downtime if your filter is full and blocks.
The increasing bio-content in today’s diesel means that the fuel in storage tanks often contains small, but problematic water levels which can cause a nasty sludge to appear. Water contamination is usually one of the main reasons for costly damage to vehicle engines and reduced fuel efficiency, but an effective water filter can be one of the best ways to prevent this. The water tank filter removes any free water from the dispensed fuel, which protects your vehicle engine from failure. Whilst this Cim-Tek Hydrosorb filter can get a range of particles, you should also consider a particle fuel filter for removing particles down to finer microns.
A particle filter can remove and water and particles from the fuel to stop fuel contamination. It is best practice is to have a water and a particle filter on your refuelling system. Particle filters differ on the size of the particles that they can filter out of the fuel, which is measured in microns. We offer a wide range of particle filters for a variety of particle sizes and flow rates.
