With the ambitious government's plans to reduce emissions by 78% by 2035, the fuel industry needs to adapt quickly and consider new-generation fuels such as HVO and GTL as a viable option for a more environmentally friendly solution. These greener fuels have easily become a preferable option compared to other alternative energy sources such as electricity as they do not have serious drawbacks that result in infrastructure cost, spending money and time on staff training and even new vehicles.

Are you considering going green?
If you’re considering going green, HVO is an easy “drop in replacement” of traditional diesel fuel as they are fully compatible with the already in place diesel fuel infrastructure and equipment, saving costs for the end user over alternatives like electricity. Here are some of the benefits of switching to HVO:

- No FAME content unlike traditional biofuels
- Shelf life of up to 10 years without fuel degradation

CTS products are 100% compatible with HVO, GTL & other Paraffinic fuels
With the rise in availability of alternative fuels, Centre Tank Services Ltd and Piusi have carried out extensive testing of their range of diesel fuel equipment with HVO, GTL and other paraffinic diesel fuels.
Based on our own in-house tests, we are pleased to find that our own product range, including our tank alarms and probes, is suitable for use with HVO and GTL fuels as "drop in" replacements for diesel. As the official UK agent of Piusi, we are also happy to announce that all Piusi products for diesel are 100% compatible with HVO, GTL and other paraffinic fuels made according to the EN 15940:2019.
