Hand Fuel Pumps
Cost effective, manual fuel hand pumps
Manual fuel transfer pumps are often the preferred fluid dispensing solution when a power source is unavailable, or where it is not cost effective to have an electric pump. They are also commonly utilised for dispensing from a drum, where there are not huge quantities of fluid to transfer. Our large hand fuel pump range consists of a variety of different manual pumps that differ based upon body material, operating mechanism, flow rates and fluid compatibility. For example, available is an aluminium, lever operated, diesel hand pump, and a cast iron, rotary, oil fuel hand pump.
For more information on the fluid compatibility of any of our manual fuel hand pumps, please contact our technical sales team on 0121 351 4445 or alternatively email enquiries@centretank.com

FAQs
Hand fuel pumps do not rely on being plugged into a mains power socket and are hand operated. This means they can be easily connected to a drum or IBC and can be moved to wherever it is required, making it a mobile solution for off-road applications such as in agriculture, construction, quarrying and mining. A manual diesel transfer pump can be more cost effective in applications when only a small amount of fuel needs to be transferred.
A hand fuel pump is used when there is no access to electricity and small amounts of fuel need to be transferred. A hand fuel transfer pump is a reliable and economical option when an electric pump is not feasible or doesn’t warrant the expenditure of an electric fuel transfer pump.
A rotary hand fuel transfer pump uses a rotating handle that you crank in a circular motion to transfer fuel. A lever manual diesel transfer pump uses a lever that you move back and forth to move fuel.
Both types of diesel hand pump have their own benefits depending on the specific needs and preferences of the user. If you need to transfer large amounts of fuel regularly, a rotary hand pump might be more suitable. For occasional, smaller transfers, a lever hand fuel transfer pump could be a better fit.
A diesel hand pump works by manually creating suction to draw diesel fuel from one container to another. This manual operation allows for controlled and precise fuel transfer, making diesel hand pumps useful for various applications, especially where electricity is not available or practical.
