About the product
The CTS single channel fuel tank alarm system provides the user with the choice of setting the alarm to alert of either a high level, low level or bund leak depending upon their requirements. This level and bund alarm is a simple and cost effective solution when the user only requires to be alerted of one scenario, therefore making the multi-zone tank level alarm over-specified.
The single channel fuel tank alarm has a clear, descriptive seven segment LED display that informs the user of the activated tank state. It features a test button that will activate the 90dB sounder and flash the display showing the current configuration of the tank level alarm, and a mute button to silence the sounder.
This main powered version fuel tank alarm has the additional feature of a volt-free relay for connecting the fuel storage tank alarm to another piece of equipment on-site such as a building management system, or another mains powered single channel alarm allowing the alarm status to monitored remotely for example in the office. Whilst commonly used as a diesel tank alarm, it is also suitable for use with a range of fluids such as water, waste oil and chemicals (see accessories table for other tank level probes).

I want to monitor more than one alert, what can I do?
As these alarms are single channel, this means that they can only monitor one scenario out of low, high or bund. If you want to be alerted to more than just the one, then you will need a CTS Multi-Zone Fuel Tank Alarm. Alternatively, you could install two single channel tank level alarms, however this means installing and maintaining two products instead of one.
My office is a little way away from the tank, can I connect your tank alarms to a remote device?
All of our fuel tank level alarms have a 90dB sounder, which is pretty loud. However, if you are still concerned, the CTS mains powered tank alarms are available with a relay, which can connect to the probe input on another alarm. You can position the second alarm up to 100m away from the other, inside your office for example, so that it acts as a remote warning device.
The two alarms will act independently, meaning that if your driver mutes the one at the tank without telling you, the other will continue to sound until you choose to mute it.
Can I connect the single channel tank alarm to my building management system?
If you choose the version of our CTS tank alarm with relays, then yes! You can use the relay outputs to inform your BMS that your chosen high/low/bund scenario has been activated.
