What is an ATEX pump?
When dispensing petrol, kerosene or diesel in a zone one area, specially certified ATEX pumps need to be used. These are safe for use with lower flash point liquids. Available in our ATEX approved petrol transfer pump range are both mains powered and 12v fuel transfer pumps, that are specified for zone one applications. We also stock manual hand petrol transfer ATEX pumps for a cost effective solution.
What applications can ATEX pumps be used for?
Our ATEX pumps are ideal for dispensing flammable liquids in applications such as: race/rally motorsport, quad/motorbikes, ground maintenance e.g.: lawnmowers, forest tools, golf course buggies, boats/leisure craft e.g.: jet skis, and refilling heating oil tanks when tanker access is difficult.
Why does my petrol nozzle need to be ATEX approved?
Petrol nozzles need to be ATEX approved and certified to indicate they have been tested to be safe for use in a flammable area due to the high flash point of petrol. All our ATEX petrol nozzles have the ATEX yellow logo on the product image.
Why does my petrol flow meter need to be ATEX certified?
Petrol flow meters need to have official ATEX certification, which means it has been fully tested and approved to be safe to use in hazardous and explosive environments.
