At Centre Tank Services, our engineers and technical team are at the heart of our business, and we want to take a moment to celebrate their hard work, which is often behind the scenes - especially during National Engineers Week.

Our engineers

Our engineers' work is vital to supporting and making the life of our customer better and easier. But you are probably wondering what exactly our engineers and technical teams do, and the short answer is a lot! As part of National Engineers Week, we would like to recognize several of our engineers and technicians who are always ready to walk an extra mile and provide outstanding service to our clients.

Customer support

Providing aftersale telephone support

Meet Doug, one of our Technical Sales Engineers, helping a client over the phone with our Piusi B.SMART Fuel Management System installations. Doug has over 17 years' experience in the industry and has gained extensive knowledge about oil tank and fuel transfer equipment. As a technical sales engineer, Doug provides before and after-sales support to our clients to make sure they choose the right products and understand how to maintain them. He is always ready to answer all your technical questions and walk you through our products' installation and maintenance process.

Warranty inspections and testing

Say hello to Trevor, who is our technical sales engineer too. Trevor has been at CTS for over 25 years and can answer all your technical question for our wide range of products. As a Technical Sales Engineer, he not only providing support over the phone, but you can also find him performing warranty inspections and testing products in our designated technical area.

Office based engineers

Usually office-based, Trevor is also often found providing product support and advice at the trade counter. Using his extensive knowledge and experience, he helps our clients find the right fuel equipment for their more technical applications and is on hand to give maintenance and installation advice.

Assembling products to meet customer-specific requirements

Meet our Stores Supervisor, Neil, who manages all the warehouse and assembly room activities. Neil has been with CTS for 22 years, and he is involved in everything from goods in and dispatch to assembling hose kits to building and testing bespoke kits for our OEM clients. Neil is the person that makes sure that everything in our dispatch, building and testing processes runs smoothly and right on time.

Building bespoke kits

Dave, one of our Assembly Operatives, is heavily involved in building our in-house designed products and bespoke pump kits in our onsite assembly room. Dave has over 15 years’ experience working at CTS. With a core part of his role being assembling and leak testing bespoke pump kits before dispatch, he helps provide a ready to install solution that saves our tank manufacturer customers the cost and time of assembling numerous components supplied individually by the manufacturers.

Providing onsite diagnostics on our customer's behalf

Say hello to Sanj, our Onsite Engineer. Sanj helps support our equipment in after-sale by providing onsite diagnostics and maintenance to the end-user on behalf of our trade customers when they need it. For example, in the image below, Sanj was called by one of our clients to check the calibration on all Piusi Ocio gauges across their customer’s site to ensure it continues to provide accurate readings on the fuel level.

Sanj helps our clients with emergency situations where their customers may be experiencing. In the below image, Sanj had been sent to the site after one of our clients reported that their customer was having a problem with a slow pump flow rate. Sanj went on the site to check the pump and identified that the problem was just coming from a blocked filter. After replacing the filter, the pumping system started working perfectly again. These are just a few examples where Sanj provided support on our client's behalf and help them offer great after-sale support.
