That's a wrap for 2024!

This year, Managing Director Matthew Terry made the decision to honour longstanding staff members by holding an Employee Recognition Day, in a push to recognise those who have dedicated many years of service to the business. It is standard procedure for CTS to hold celebrations for those who have been at the company for 20 years and more, but Matthew made the decision to also honour those who have served 10 and 15 years.

He acknowledged that in this day and age, it is rare to see such long-term loyalty and dedication in an ever changing industry and job market, especially with constant changes to society and added pressures including the rise in the cost of living. The employees were recognised at an event held on Tuesday 3rd December surrounded by the wider team, with each celebrated member receiving their milestone certificate and a gift voucher of their choosing as a token of appreciation.

Whilst addressing the wider team at the event, Matthew spoke highly of the awardees, and said: “We value everybody that works here at CTS, however long they’ve been here but we have a group of people that have worked here between 10 and 20 years that we want to take a step back and recognise, and show our appreciation for.

“To all of you, from myself and on behalf of the company, thank you for your service to the business, they are impressive milestones, and we want to
celebrate that. Congratulations!”

Those recognised also spoke of their time at CTS, and when asked what had encouraged them to dedicate long periods of time to the business, they all spoke highly of feeling supported and appreciated by the company and the wider group. Internal Sales Assistant Claire had this to say on her time at CTS:

“I was 23 when I started working here and I cannot believe how the years have flown. I have always felt supported and appreciated, and feel I have grown so much with the business. I couldn’t imagine working anywhere else. I feel really lucky to have been part of CTS’s journey for such a long time, so really, it’s thanks to them for having me!”

With talk of diesel bugs and the impact of their nasty sludge on equipment damage and generator performance dominating conversation in the industry for a while, you will know by now the importance of fuel filtration. So, after much research and development from our Technical Director Rob Terry, CTS have launched the advanced alternative to our successful CTS Fuel Recirculation unit, to clean fuel to an even higher level.

With a quality manufactured Piusi Panther pump, two high performance Cim-Tek Ultimate Defense particle and water filters, and a magnetic fuel conditioner to breakdown diesel bug, the new CTS Advanced Fuel Conditioner targets ISO 14/13/11 via multi-pass filtration. But the real beauty of this system lies in its added intelligence - limiting preventable downtime in fuel conditioning for your emergency power customers that simply cannot risk it! But how…

Whilst the standard unit comes with two BMS outputs, we offer a Modbus version which will communicate system status and alerts to devices using this data communication protocol. Available next year, will also be an integrated level gauge version which displays a constant tank reading in bar graph and litres. The system can also be set to stop running when the low level is reached to avoid dry running, all without the need to buy an external gauge.

Similarly to the original CTS recirculation unit, the front of the panel can be branded with your company logo and contact information, so tank owners know to contact you when replacement filters are required. But we haven’t stopped there! We can also customise the touchscreen control panel with QR codes which direct them straight to your website to order the spare elements when the alert appears.

This year we’ve had visits from both Piusi and Husky to our office in the Midlands, where we discussed campaigns, sales and new products being launched.

Piusi’s Export Manager, along with the Chief Commercial Officer flew out to see the CTS team in July. Together we shared insights into current global market trends and discussed upcoming R&D projects. Whilst here, they also provided in-depth product training on the Panther EX - their new ATEX certified fuel pump ‘that sets a new standard of excellence’, which will be launching in 2025!

Husky Selling Agent, Greg - September

Greg Hockman, President of Hockman Lewis - the worldwide selling agent for Husky Corporation, visited us in September to enhance our team’s expertise. Greg provided invaluable training on the Husky range, ensuring both new and seasoned members were up to date with all the latest benefits and features

It has officially been a year since Gurdeep Lakhanpal packed up his desk and moved 4,000 miles away to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, to set up and open the Middle Eastern branch of Centre Tank Services. Before moving out there, we’d already established a UAE distributor with Weldcut, providing local stockholding and after-sale services to the United Arab Emirates.

Twelve months later, after a lot networking at exhibitions, meeting with manufacturers, resellers, end-users, and exploring the busy city of Riyadh, we are now close to signing a distributor agreement with a supplier in KSA, with another potential distributor on the cards too. With several site visits under his belt, market feedback was that our Advanced Fuel Conditioner required a Modbus output to be a suitable option for fuel conditioning in the Middle East. With that information, it allowed Technical Director Rob Terry to set about developing a version which included this, so that we could start pushing the equipment to the many data centres under development in the region, as well as other critical power applications.
