About the product
The Piusi Suzzara Blue 3 Basic is an improved and redesigned version of the market known Suzzara Blue AdBlue™ IBC Pump Kit. This new stainless steel plated AdBlue™ transfer pump solution from the Italian manufacturer Piusi is different from competing products on the market thanks to its robust and sturdy roll bar enclosure, which protects the pump from accidental impact. Designed as a ready to go solution for the dispensing of AdBlue™ (DEF) specifically from an IBC, this AdBlue™ IBC pump kit comes with a self-priming membrane Piusi AdBlue™ pump, manual nozzle, delivery and suction hose and IBC connector. In response to market requirements, we also supply a “hybrid” version which comes with an automatic nozzle to shut off when the tank is full.
The Suzzara Blue 3 Basic AdBlue™ pump kit can be mounted securely onto the IBC with the integrated locking bracket to ensure the Piusi pump kit cannot be easily pulled off under force. It also benefits from a large practical hose holder allowing the hose to be rolled securely and neatly, and a nozzle holster with a removable drip cup for easy cleaning.
Depending on user requirements, this IBC AdBlue™ pump kit is available with a choice of low voltage or electric AdBlue™ pump (please see the product table below for the different options available). If you want to monitor how much you are dispensing, then the Suzzara Blue 3 Pro IBC AdBlue™ pump kit comes with the addition of a flow meter.

Can I just use a diesel pump to refill my vehicle with AdBlue™?
No! You should strictly only ever use equipment designed for use with AdBlue™, as these will be constructed of compatible materials such as stainless steel and polypropylene. AdBlue™ will cause many materials to corrode, e.g. cast iron, which most fuel pumps are manufactured from. This will not only cause your pump to fail but will also contaminate the AdBlue™, which must be kept completely pure to ensure there is no damage to the vehicle’s SCR system.
What is the difference between Piusi Suzzara Blue 3 Basic and Pro?
Both AdBlue™ pump kits come in a robust and sturdy roll bar enclosure, which protects the pump from accidental impact and benefit from having a large practical hose holder and nozzle holster with a removable drip cup. The Suzzara Blue 3 Basic is a more cost-effective version and comes as a standard with Piusi AdBlue™ pump, manual nozzle, delivery and suction hose and IBC connector. However, the Suzzara Blue 3 Pro is supplied with a Piusi K24 flow meter and an automatic nozzle, making it a perfect middle ground option between the Basic and the Suzzara Blue 3 Pure Pro version.
Can I use this AdBlue™ pump for mobile refuelling?
The Piusi Suzzara Blue 3 Basic/Pro is available with a 12v and 24v AdBlue™ transfer pump. This way, you can use the supplied crocodile clips to connect the AdBlue IBC pump kit to a 12 volt or 24-volt battery (often on a vehicle). As it does not rely on being plugged into a mains power socket, it can be moved to wherever required, making it a mobile solution. Consequently, it is commonly used in off-road applications such as agriculture, construction, quarrying and mining.
Some of my vehicles have a 12v battery, and some have a 24v. Can I use one AdBlue transfer pump for both?
In this instance, it would be best practice to have two AdBlue™ pumps on site. You can technically use a 12v AdBlue™ transfer pump on a 24v battery and vice versa, but you will have to half the duty cycle to 15 minutes on/15 mins off to prevent it from burning it out. It may also have an impact on the life span of your pump.
