About the product
Made by Italian manufacturer Piusi, the Panther 72 electric diesel transfer pump is reliable, quality and versatile in its application. The Panther 72 is the higher flow, flanged equivalent of the Piusi Panther 56 diesel refuelling pump, and thanks to its good flow rate is popular for the refuelling of vehicle fleets and machinery. Being mains powered, the Panther range are the perfect fuel dispensing pumps in many industries for use on stationary fuel transfer pump systems and bunded diesel storage tanks. For that reason the Piusi Panther pumps are installed by the majority of fuel tank manufacturers.
This cast iron constructed electric fuel transfer pump is supplied with both pump head and motor, incorporated bypass valve and 100 micron easily accessed filter. These self-priming, rotary vane diesel transfer pumps have an incoporated mechanical seal, which ensures that even in low temperatures the pump maintains its reliability. Other features of the Panther 72 Piusi fuel pump include its thermal motor overload protection on single-phase pumps, IP55 protection grade and its easy operation on/off switch.

Where is this fuel dispensing pump typically used?
This fuel dispensing pump by the Italian manufactured Piusi, is preferable choice by most fuel tank manufacturers due to its reliability. This diesel transfer pump is usually installed on static fuel storage tanks during tank manufacturing or retrofitted on existing tanks. Typically, the fuel transfer pump is used in non-resale refuelling environment as it is not weights and measures approved. Can I use the Panther pump for kerosene?
We frequently get asked this question and the answer is no! Kerosene has a lower flash point than diesel, which means there is a greater chance of a spark resulting in ignition during the pumping process. Like with petrol, pumps for kerosene therefore have to be ATEX approved, meaning that they are certified as being safe for use in potentially flammable environments.
