New Price Guide

Dear Customer

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your support in the past and wish you all the very best for 2008.

As you may have noticed, there has been a dramatic start to the year with the Pound collapsing against the Euro from an average rate of 1.47 during 2007 to today’s rate of 1.34. This value is still falling and represents a current depreciation of 9%. Our European suppliers have also imposed a price increase to ourselves of approximately 7% during 2007. To date, we have absorbed these increases in cost rather than pass them on to you. Unfortunately, we can no longer continue to absorb the impact of the total cost increases.

The exchange rate has not yet stabilized and so we remain hopeful that the Pound will regain some of it’s previous strength. To allow time for this stabilization, we will not be producing a new price list at this present time.

As a temporary measure, we will be implementing a 6.60% surcharge on the current prices of our European manufactured goods. This surcharge will come into effect from Thursday 17 January 2008. All orders placed before this date and requesting delivery by Thursday 31 January 2008 will still qualify for the pre-increase pricing. All orders received from 17 January will be processed using the new prices. This is only a short term measure until we produce our new price list.

We sincerely apologise for this increase which is beyond our control and assure you that we will do everything possible to keep our prices to you as low as possible.
